Woodrow (Woody) A. Williams RIP
With deep regret, we must announce the passing of Mr. Woodrow (Woody) Williams on Tuesday, 15 February 2022 at 2:15 pm in a traffic accident just south of the Tennessee River Bridge. Woody has been the public face of STEDTRAIN for many years. His sudden passing will impact everyone who has participated in STEDTRAIN, but this tragedy will not derail the program he loved so much.
Mr. Paul Agarwal has been shadowing Woody for many months to learn the nuances of the program and to be in a position to take over if needed. Paul is now the Vice Chair of the STEDTRAIN Committee. Ron Hackett will continue to run the website and records administration.
We will continue to accept Seed Grant proposals for the 2022-23 school year, and the deadline remains 1 April at midnight. We look forward to funding many proposals this year as a tribute to Woody and his years of dedicated service to STEDTRAIN and the community.
